My name is Suzette Schuze and I am thrilled to return to the Fonn Villas 2025 Swim Team. I learned to swim competitively when I was 5 years old and I look forward to bringing my experience and passion for the sport of swimming to our team. Throughout my childhood I was a multiple sport athlete competing in swimming, softball, volleyball, and tennis. I entered college on a tennis scholarship. As an adult, I was introduced to the sport of triathlon and have been a successful triathlete since 1999 competing in every distance from sprint to Ironman races. I consistently finish in the top of my age group for the swimming discipline. Because of my love for triathlon, I began teaching swimming lessons and coaching triathletes. Coaching athletes of varying levels and in various sport disciplines is what drives me to help others achieve success. I especially love helping swimmers to reach their full potential by helping them learn the technique and skills to take them to next levels. Whether an adult or a child, helping them learn how to get from one end of the pool to the other while building their confidence and stroke is magical. Dedication, positive attitude, and ability to inspire athletes is my goal. In addition to coaching, I am an educated ceramic sculpturist and painter that explores systems between humanity, the natural world and how we coexist. I have been in art exhibitions throughout Houston and nationally. I hold college degrees from Texas State University and a graduate degree from the University of Arkansas. I live in Pearland, Texas with my husband of 33 years and we have two sons. Need additional swim lessons? My name is Oscar Mayorga. I’m a college athlete and competitive swimmer at the University of St. Thomas. With years of experience in the pool and a strong passion for the sport, I’m dedicated to continuous growth both as an athlete and leader. I’m excited to serve as an Assistant Coach for the Fonn Villas Swim Team, where I look forward to mentoring swimmers, building strong fundamentals, and helping athletes reach their full potential in and out of the water.

I have been swimming since the age of two and currently play water polo year-round with the Viper-Pigeon club. I am also a multi-sport athlete, playing football for MMS and basketball for SMBSA. I take all advanced classes at MMS and maintain strong academic performance. I’m passionate about swimming and enjoy helping younger athletes grow their skills and confidence in the water.

Hi, my name is Emma Cekova and this is my second year as a Junior coach! I am a sophomore Memorial High School and swam competitively for six years! I am involved in the MHS marching band and am passionate about my instrument, the euphonium! I am available for private lessons for $35/hour!

Hi! I'm An Ha! I'm going to be a freshman next year at Stephen F Austin High School. I've been swimming since I was 5, and Fonn Villas has been my summer home every year. I'm so excited to be stepping in as a Junior Coach this summer and can't wait to help our younger swimmers learn, have fun, and achieve their goals. I'm especially looking forward to an amazing season with everyone.

Hi, my name is Marla Hattab, I am 17 years old, and I am an upcoming senior at Memorial High School. I have been swimming at Fonn Villas since I was 8 years old. My favorite strokes are breaststroke and freestyle. In my free time I like to hang out with friends and family, babysit, and bake. As a returning junior coach, I'm extremely excited to get to know all of the kids and teach them everything I know about the sport that I love

Hi, my name is Liam Kirkpatrick, I am 15, and will be a Junior at Westchester Academy for International Studies next year, where I am studying to be an engineer. I started swimming when I was 4 and have competitively swam since I was 8 for Dads Club. I have been participating in the Fonn Villas swim team for 4 years. I’m looking forward to another year as a junior coach in the FV swim team and meeting everyone!

Hi! My name is Sonia Pei and I'm super excited to be returning to help coach this year! I will be graduating Memorial High School this year and plan on studying nursing in college. I've been on the Memorial Swim and Waterpolo team and orchestra all four years, and I've also completed 3 marathons and an Ironman 70.3. I look forward to an amazing season with some amazing kids!
