There are 6 place judges during a meet. These judges watch the finish of the race and award place ribbons. The ultimate responsibility for awarding finishes remains with the place judges and any disputes must be settled by the judges with the support of the Meet Director. We use a top to bottom system where the first place judge makes the decision on first place. Second place judge awards second place and so on in succession. Place judges need to have keen eyesight and be able to stand during the entire meet.
Ready Bench Parents help to get kids lined up in the appropriate lanes for each event based on the heat sheets provided by the coach. This is a key position for keeping the meets moving on time. It is fast paced and requires you to keep the kids in line and attentive for their turn to swim.
